Social media drought relief
What to do on social media when you are sick of the sound of your own voice but are compelled to be there for work reasons.
Not feeling that social media posting routine?
You have permission to zoom out:
Instead of having all the answers, ask the audience a question.
Don’t ask for attention. Give it to other people.
Forget thinking, “will people like this?” Ask instead “how will people feel after they read this?”
Ditch the rant about someone else’s content. Grab some private time to explore the button it pressed in your journal instead.
Spend time away from social media. Has anything imploded?
Raise up work that has inspired you.
Write posts without a call to action. See if this freedom from marketing and sales techniques takes the pressure off things.
Ignore your social media timetable (or guru) and enjoy playing hooky from the obligation.
Add up how much of your work comes from social media. Divide that by the amount of posts you usually do. Exactly how many millions you’ll be missing?
Create something else and get high off that productivity instead.
Acknowledge the social media drought. You’ll be surprised how many others feel the very same thing.
