When EOFY is approaching at the speed of light, you have to breathe
Hello
Goodness- how scary is the speed in which we’re hurtling through 2017? I don’t know about you, but I have been busy working with all kinds of clients. Across agencies, childcare, online fitness, animal health, mental health, the maker movement and more, you can find me.
As we tumble towards EOFY, I hope you are managing all things with grace and poise. If you need some pain relief, sashay on over to my pain clinic. If you need a solid foundation to spring into the next half of the year with, check out my foundation marketing plan.
Otherwise, maybe there’s some tonic in this email for you.
Things that have tickled my brain
Facebook is definitely making some big changes that will influence us all. With all this work, I’m interested in working smarter, not harder. We don’t need to helplessness that comparison in business brings. It doesn’t have to be perfect to tell a story, as the sketches of Liana Fink show. Kylie Saunder proves you don’t have to be a robot to survive in business.
Things that have got me creating and writing
I made a roundup of where you can catch me if you can! I look at what it takes to make a Facebook group a success. ABC producer Jennifer Macey joins me via a podcast to talk about what makes a great audio experience. Still in audio form, Cristina Romeo from Vixen business gets you ready for EOFY.
I finally published the results of the Freelancing in Australia survey. Go check it out! And I’m reminding everyone stress has a productivity cost. Find out why flexible workplace strategies are great for small business via Seek Insights.
A list of places you can stalk me
For all the sole entrepreneurs out there, you can join the closed Facebook group for the Freelance Jungle. The first ever IndiePro Summit is fast approaching- tune in to see me on June 7th. I’m joining up with Freelance Australia and Creative Plus Business to present a panel on why the future of work is freelance as part of Vivid Ideas.
Join me online to stress down and relax.
Discuss the future of work as a freelancer in Sydney (and stay for drinks after).
Have coffee with Bek in Wollongong (that’s me!). Are you self employed?
Come along for a special freelance Xmas in July in Sydney.
NOTE: My timetable is fast filling up and it looks as though I may be booked until July soon with potential of moving house and few untidy impacts around that time. So if you want to work together, get in touch NOW to schedule a date!
